Fishing the "Deep Web" for PostgreSQL
Yahoo recently [http://www.internetnews.com/xSP/article.php/3513736 announced] a new search engine, coined as Yahoo! Search Subscription. It searches through a number of paid content sites for keywords, much like any search engine. Of course, in testing any new service, I figured I might as well see how relevent it is to PostgreSQL. Surprisingly there was a number of interesting articles. The first one on the list was “[http://ieeexplore.ieee.org/search/wrapper.jsp?arnumber=900796 A set of tools for building PostgreSQL distributed databases in biomedical environment]”, and the second “[http://ieeexplore.ieee.org/search/wrapper.jsp?arnumber=1410153 Postgres-R(SI): Combining Replica Control with Concurrency Control Based on Snapshot Isolation]”. Sounds interesting huh? Unfortunatly the full text of the content is locked away in the relevant subscription site, but I do think if you’re looking for PostgreSQL related research material, this is one place worth taking a look.
