Last night on my way to speaker registration and presentation, I swung into the burger joint that was along the way to grab a quick bite. This in and of itself would have been uneventful, except that while I was waiting for my smoothy, I looked down on the counter and saw a couple of flyers for PostgreSQL! With me in my [http://dbadialog.free.fr/PGFr/tshirts.png PostgreSQLfr shirt] as a bonus [[image /xzilla/templates/default/img/emoticons/smile.png alt=”:-)” style=”display: inline; vertical-align: bottom;” class=”emoticon” /]] As an aside, I’m a little confused about the smoothies in Portland… in Florida a smoothie is typically made with crushed ice, but here it was made with frozen yogurt… is that normal or did they mess up my order? Anyway this morning I am up early, but this time due to differences in longitude [http://people.planetpostgresql.org/xzilla/index.php?/archives/225-zZzZz.html rather than latitude], which works a bunch nicer. The hotel claims to have some complementary breakfast, I’ll have to check that out when it opens, till then it’ll be presentation tweaking and code reviewing for me. Good morning Portland.
