Getting to Ottawa by Way of Dopplr

I’m happy to say that, for those heading to [http://www.pgcon.org/2008/ PgCon] this year (What? You’re not really going to Zendcon again are you?), I’m happy to announce that you can now find Ottawa inside the [http://www.dopplr.com/ Dopplr] system. I was trying to add my upcoming trip this past weekend and for the life of me could not get it to come up. I reported it (I mean seriously, it is the nation’s capital) and it seems that, along with sending me a link to the [http://www.dopplr.com/place/ca/ottawa Ottawa city page] (you can add a trip to any city if you can find its page), it looks like they also fixed the search system. Yay! Speaking of PgCon, the Call for Papers closes this Saturday (January 19th), so if you haven’t submitted your talk proposal yet get on it! Remember, even if you’re not a hard-core Postgres hacker, if you’re doing neat things with PostgreSQL or have a complex architecture, you should submit a proposal. I’m going to be there, I want to see some new ideas! [[image /xzilla/templates/default/img/emoticons/smile.png alt=”:-)” style=”display: inline; vertical-align: bottom;” class=”emoticon” /]]
