PostgreSQL Job Merry-Go-Round

Round and round we go… first [http://archives.postgresql.org/pgsql-hackers/2006-03/msg01118.php Josh goes to work for Sun], then [http://sql-info.de/postgresql/notes/elephant-to-dolphin.html Ian gets a job at MySQL], and now [http://enterprisedb.com/news_events/press_releases/04_04_06.do Bruce and Simon are going to work for EnterpriseDB]. Hopefully we can get Josh to get PostgreSQL some nicer (any?) results on [http://www.mysql.com/news-and-events/press-release/release_2004_27.html Sun’s benchmarking], and Bruce and Simon can pry some of the [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special_sauce special sauce] EnterpriseDB is using for their vaunted performance increases into the main-line PostgreSQL code. Even if not, I am sure this can only mean good things for these folks and the community, so congratulations to all of them (especially Ian [[image /xzilla/templates/default/img/emoticons/wink.png alt=”;-)” style=”display: inline; vertical-align: bottom;” class=”emoticon” /]]).
